Tim Brown : TSA Failed to Identify 73 Workers Who Were on Terror Watch Lists

from Doofiegirl on 06/10/2015 02:11 PM

In more evidence that the Department of Homeland Security provides no real security, a new report by the unconstitutional department reveals that the Transportation Security Administration allowed access to secure areas of airports across the nation to 73 workers with "links to terrorism."
The Daily Caller reports:
According to the report, the 73 workers with terror backgrounds were identified out of 900,000 active aviation workers using the National Counterterrorism Center's Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment (TIDE) system.
The report includes a table showing which terrorism codes applied to the 73 aviation workers, but it is redacted.
The reason for the knowledge gap is that TSA is not privy to some codes which are part of the "watchlist extract" included in the TIDE system. In order to include the new terrorism-related codes, DHS must issue a formal request to the Watchlisting Interagency Policy Committee.
Screening for aviation workers on terror watch lists was hindered in other ways, according to the report.
While airports are responsible for providing identifying information for aviation employees, the information is often incomplete. And that is a problem because of a TSA security directive which requires that the agency only initiate a security threat assessment for employees whose profiles have complete information.
"Our testing showed that TSA did not identify 73 individuals with terrorism-related category codes because TSA is not authorized to receive all terrorism-related information under current intraagency watchlisting policy," the report reads.
However, the report also went on to attempt pointing the finger at the fact that those workers were employed by major airliners, airport vendors and other employers.
"According to TSA data, these individuals were employed by major airlines, airport vendors, and other employers. TSA did not identify these individuals through its vetting operations because it is not authorized to receive all terrorism-related categories under current interagency watchlisting policy," the report added.
"TSA acknowledged that these individuals were cleared for access to secure airport areas despite representing a potential transportation security threat," the report continued.

Re: Hey my friends ......how is everybody , have you found your friends , are you finding your way around Zangle , are ya missing your friends

I am reconnecting with my old friends from 2 years ago. Hopefully they remember how I drove the radical liberal extremists into a frenzy, WITHOUT insults, labeling, vulgarity, and name calling. I merely cited and articulated their own hypocritical and convoluted rules,  logic, and doubletalk. They gang flagged my comments and got me DA'd, but the truth will always be the truth, and I will once again shine on the deepest, dartkest corners of extreme liberalism.
That's enough for now :p

Re: Do you think it's time we forget about soda and enjoy what we have

from RogueLoner on 06/10/2015 01:48 PM

Yep! But it will never happen. I signed up for Zangle right around the time SH bit the dust, give or take a day before or after,  and I noticed immediately that the same people who complained daily about sodahead's graphics, videos, music, socks, trolls, and moderators...are now on Zangle whining about sodahead shutting down...the very sodahead that they incessantly bitched about. LOL!!  NOW they are complaining about how Zangle is run. There are just people who aren't happy unless they are complaining.

The Silencing : Mike Adams

from Doofiegirl on 06/10/2015 01:47 PM

Kirsten Powers gets it. There is an assault on free speech in this country that is coming from the political left. But the people responsible for it are not liberals. They aren't worthy of the title of liberal, which presupposes a degree of tolerance for opposing opinions. They are illiberal leftists and they are crushing the free exchange of ideas in this country. To make matters worse, they know exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it. In other words, they are not ignorant of, or merely indifferent to, constitutional principles. They are at war with them.
You can see it on our nation's campuses. Between 1987 and 2008, protests geared towards "disinviting" speakers with unpopular views resulted in 62 campus event cancellations. Between 2009 and 2014, there were another 62 campus event cancellations. In other words, over the last few years, campus protestors have become increasingly committed to silencing dissenting opinions. And the pattern is not random. According to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), conservative speakers are targeted for "dis-invitation" twice as often as liberal speakers.
It is no wonder that students are beginning to protest actively against the free exchange of unpopular opinions on campus. They are learning it from their professors. University of Pennsylvania professor Mary Frances Berry once admitted "There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans." After the admission, she went on to defend making false accusations of racism as a means of quashing debate. She stated, "Having one's opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness."
That's sums up the mindset of the illiberal left. Attack your opponents as a means of limiting political discourse. Next, declare victory. Finally, don't forget to reaffirm your commitment to tolerance and diversity.
Predictably, the profound disrespect for free speech that is modeled by college professors like Berry eventually ends up bleeding into the larger society. In the 2013 annual First Amendment Center survey there was a significant increase in the number of people saying that the First Amendment goes too far in protecting individual rights. Less than one-fourth of those over sixty say the First Amendment goes too far. But nearly half of those between the ages of eighteen and thirty think it goes too far. This does not bode well for the future. http://townhall.com/columnists/mikeadams/2015/06/09/the-silencing-n... http://townhall.com/columnists/mikeadams/2015/06/09/the-silencing-n...;
