The ‘Confederate Flag’ Never Called Me a Nigger: But Blacks and Liberals Have by Mychal Massie

from Doofiegirl on 06/24/2015 05:14 PM

It's interesting that liberals and Obama-lefties have little to say when the U.S. flag is trampled and burned by anti-American anarchists and Muslims. They call it "free speech" and "freedom of expression." But they somehow justify condemnation of the Confederate Flag as a 'hate symbol'.
For millions, the Confederate Flag is a symbol of their love for the New South, which has risen out of the ashes of the Old South.
The homosexual flag flies wherever it is wanted without a thought pursuant to how people who oppose homosexuality may feel or what they may think about it. Muslims are now flying their flags in America but it is the Confederate Flag that is worthy of condemnation.

From time to time I wear a confederate bandana on my head when I'm riding the Harley Davidson. My friends do the same.
I add to that I have never feared the Confederate Flag. I have always been ambivalent about it. The Confederate Flag has never called me a nigger but white liberals have. The Confederate Flag has never threatened me with physical harm and called me sellout, Uncle Tom, or any of a host of other vitriolic racial pejoratives, but white liberals, Muslims, and blacks have.
The attention to the Confederate Flag is much ado about nothing. It is intended to do nothing more than foment unrest amongst "led through the nose" blacks.
When John Kerry, Eric Holder, Bill Ayers, Hillary Clinton, the Obamas, et al, were burning and protesting the American Flag and defending those who decried our American Flag, their actions were viewed as noble.
But now because some big pharma sick wacko punk who draped himself in the Confederate Flag was smart enough to go into a gun-free zone to carry out his hate-filled attack – pusillanimous little sissies craving brownie points have determined the Confederate Flag must be punished. The real debt of thanks for the successful attack in Charleston goes to those like Obama, Karl Rove, Eric Holder, and all of the other fools who clamor an anti-gun message. Because as every reasonable-minded person knows, had that church not been a gun free zone, the shooter would have in fact come to the right place to meet his maker.
But now craven whites seeking to kiss the dirty end of those blacks who will milk this unimaginable tragedy for all they can extort, the Confederate Flag once again comes under attack. And of course, there are the garden variety of liberal dimwits who are convinced that the Confederate Flag goes "bump in the night".
If it were me, I would fly the Confederate Flag on my property just to shove it in their faces. I further think that the people of South Carolina should put Confederate Flags on the dashboard of their cars whenever parking on government property. I would also put my bible and my Gun Owners of America resources one the dash.
I'd see just how far these cowards are willing to go to infringe on our rights. Let's see if these race-mongers then insist our automobiles be disallowed from parking on government property if they have Confederate Flags, bibles, and gun magazines on our dashboards. http://mychal-massie.com/premium/the-confederate-flag-never-called-...

“The Good Crisis that Can’t be Wasted” : Allen West

from Doofiegirl on 06/24/2015 02:00 PM

The words made famous by former White House Chief of Staff and current Mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel are, "never let a good crisis go to waste." Of course he should have added in the very descriptive adjectives of "politically manufactured" right before the word crisis. And so it goes, not even one week since the shootings by a racist sociopath at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, we see the politically manufactured message being disseminated and promulgated by the liberal left progressives who seemingly own the Democrat party.

Instead of heeding the teachable moment being displayed by the people of Charleston, Emanuel Church, and even the family members of the souls who were horribly taken away – the message remains on that which seeks to divide. As we watched the services, the response, and human bridge of unity on this past Sunday, the prevailing ranting was still about race.

Let me make myself very clear: the sick, demonic individual who perpetrated the heinous attack a week ago should burn in hell. The act of evil he committed in unconscionable. But it was an individual act, recognized by the people of Charleston. To try and elevate this into some national level discussion is nothing more than political opportunism.

Need I remind those of us who know American history, it is rather hypocritical of the Democratic Party to believe that they are some champions against racism. Historically, they are the party of slavery, secession, segregation, Jim Crow, lynchings, poll taxes, and literacy tests. It was President Lyndon B. Johnson, who on Air Force One before other governors, used a racist epithet to describe how his policies would have blacks voting Democrat for 200 years. We are fifty years into the seemingly intended consequences of those policies. Policies that have advanced a new type of slavery; not the physical but rather the metaphysical – economic enslavement of our urban centers, mostly populated by the black community.

It appears to me that the feigned outrage being displayed truly has more to do with political posturing rather than heartfelt care or concern.                       http://townhall.com/columnists/allenwest/2015/06/24/the-good-crisis-that-cant-be-wasted-n2016549/page/full

Obama Decries ‘Distorted Impression’ of Muslims : OBAMA NATION

from Doofiegirl on 06/24/2015 12:03 PM

Prez talks Charleston slayings, 'peaceful' Islam at Ramadan dinner

(The Hill) – President Obama stressed religious tolerance during an Iftar dinner to celebrate the Muslim holiday of Ramadan, linking the murders of nine black Christians in South Carolina with the killings of three Muslims in North Carolina earlier this year.

"Our prayers remain with Charleston and Mother Emanuel church," Obama said Monday night, using the nickname of the historically black church in Charleston where nine people were killed Wednesday night after a gunman opened fire in a Bible study.

"As Americans, we insist that nobody should be targeted because of who they are, or what they look like, who they love, how they worship. We stand united against these hateful acts."

Obama lamented the "distorted impression" that many Americans have of Muslims.

"Here in America, many people personally don't know someone who is Muslim. They mostly hear about Muslims in the news — and that can obviously lead to a very distorted impression," Obama said.

He shared the story of protesters outside of an Arizona mosque who held up "offensive signs against Islam and Muslims. But when the congregants invited the protesters in to pray, some completely changed their minds.

"One demonstrator, who accepted the invitation later, described how the experience changed him; how he finally saw the Muslim American community for what it is — peaceful and welcoming," Obama said.

Daniel Greenfield : The Fall of Al Jazeera America

from Doofiegirl on 06/23/2015 10:23 PM

When Al Jazeera America was announced, the Qatari propaganda network was riding high. Once known as a dump for Al Qaeda videos, the Arab Spring had allowed the House of Thani to project its power across the region, toppling governments and replacing them with its Muslim Brotherhood allies.

Qatar had been notorious for its ties to Al Qaeda, but those connections had done little for the oil-rich oligarchy. The Muslim Brotherhood however handed Egypt over to Qatar. And Al Jazeera's propaganda had been widely credited with supplying the images and messaging that made it happen.

Qatar's key Arab Spring asset however had been in the White House. Mubarak would not have fallen if he had retained the support of the President of the United States. Nor would Gaddafi have been toppled or Assad have come under so much pressure without US military intervention or the expectation of it.

Al Jazeera America was going to be the final building block allowing the House of Thani to brainwash millions of Americans and influence foreign policy directly at the source. It was a grandiose dream for a tyranny that was increasingly living beyond its means while playing a dangerous game of empires.

Qatar had become the dominant voice on the Middle East in Washington D.C. The takeover of Gore's left-wing Current TV would enable the totalitarian regime to launch a news network that would build on its existing relationship with the American left which saw the mainstream media as not biased enough.

How hard could launching a successful news network be?

Al Jazeera might have been riding high in the early days of 2013, but its comeuppance was already on the way. A few weeks after its announcement, the protests against its man Morsi began to take off. By the time AJA launched, Morsi had already been toppled and Al Jazeera propagandists would find themselves behind bars for their part in Qatar's Brotherhood coup against the Egyptian government. While Al Jazeera portrayed them as journalistic martyrs, one of the most notable arrestees, Mohamed Fahmy, sued Al Jazeera for endangering him by acting as "an arm of Qatar's foreign policy" that "was not only biased towards the Muslim Brotherhood — they were sponsors of the Muslim Brotherhood."

These were all obvious facts that were being ignored by the mainstream media which dismissed Al Jazeera's critics as ignorant Islamopohobes. But even as its Muslim Brotherhood allies were losing in Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen and Syria, Al Jazeera America would come under fire from its liberal media pals.

Al Jazeera America had made the media an offer it couldn't resist. The leftists who flocked there had anticipated employment at a vanity network subsidized by the House of Thani that would let them do unfiltered left-wing advocacy without caring if they ever got any viewers or made any money.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    It was enough that Al Jazeera appeared to share their hostility to America and Israel.

Their journalistic instincts did not lead them to ask why a foreign government would be interested in funding their journalistic fantasies or how Muslim tribal leaders could be considered progressive.

Or how they could manage to run a modern news network.

Al Jazeera America had been a disaster from the start. Its $500 million buy of Al Gore's Current TV had been expensive but considered worth the price to get access to a huge number of cable households through Gore's sweetheart deals with big cable companies. But the cable companies knew the difference between Al Gore and Al Jazeera and they wanted that oil money Qatar was throwing around.

So did Al Gore.

Gowdy's Benghazi panel releases newest Clinton-Blumenthal emails :Jim Kouri

from Doofiegirl on 06/23/2015 09:59 PM

The House of Representatives' controversial Select Committee on Benghazi on Monday released a number of emails addressed to and from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that were being withheld from the committee despite repeated requests. The committee's chairman obtained the emails as a result of a request made to Sidney Blumenthal, who recently spent hours being questioned by lawmakers in a private session last week. http://www.politico.com/story/2015/06/trey-gowdy-who-withheld-benghazi-emails-119289.html

According to the Benghazi panel's leader, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina, nearly half of Secretary Clinton's public record regarding Libya and Benghazi -- including the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission -- pertains to emails from Clinton-supporter and former adviser to President Bill Clinton, Sidney Blumenthal.

Not satisfied with only the Blumenthal copies of his Internet communications with then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Gowdy sternly requested that officials at the State Department turn over their copies of the Clinton-Blumenthal emails by the end of the day.    http://benghazi.house.gov/sites/republicans.benghazi.house.gov/files/New%20Found%20Clinton%20Emails.pdf

"Once again the Benghazi Committee uncovers information that should already be part of the public record but was not made available to the American people or congressional investigators," said Gowdy. "These emails should have been part of the public record when Secretary Clinton left office and at a bare minimum included when the State Department released Clinton's self-selected records on Libya. For that reason, the committee has made the decision to release the latest set of Clinton's public records unearthed by the committee," said Gowdy, a former criminal prosecutor.

Gowdy admitted that these latest Clinton emails raise even more questions about whether Hillary Clinton's record is complete and State Department's negligence in making certain the American people and lawmakers were given a complete record of Hillary Clinton's official actions while serving the Obama administration.    http://benghazi.house.gov/news/press-releases/select-committee-obtains-new-blumenthal-emails-before-deposition                  http://www.examiner.com/article/gowdy-s-benghazi-panel-releases-newest-clinton-blumenthal-emails

LIMBAUGH: AMERICAN FLAG NEXT TARGET TO COME DOWN 'It is gonna happen. We are trending that way : JOE KOVACS

from Doofiegirl on 06/23/2015 09:16 PM

As the push grows to remove Confederate flags from Southern states as well as retail stores such as Walmart and Sears nationwide, talk-radio star Rush Limbaugh is making a startling prediction.

"The next flag that will come under assault, and it will not be long, is the American flag," Limbaugh said Tuesday on his national program. "It is gonna happen. We are trending that way."

"It makes perfect sense," he continued. "If you take a look at the timeline of progression of events, the speed and rapidity with which the left is conducting this assault on all of these American traditions and institutions, if you don't think the American flag's in their crosshairs down the road, you had better stop and reconsider.

"The American flag is what? It's the symbol of America. The left, what? Doesn't like this country very much and never has and it's getting angrier and angrier about it seemingly every day. The American flag stands for the United States of America and as such, everything that's wrong with it. And you wait, it isn't gonna be long before the American flag is gonna cause chills, fear, scary thoughts ... [because] it's a symbol of hate."

Show your patriotic colors proudly! We've got plenty of U.S. flags available to let everyone know how much you love America!

Limbaugh said those on the political left are under the impression that just seeing the Stars and Stripes can cause people to tilt toward the political right.

"They believe the American flag has mystical powers to turn people away from the Democratic Party," he explained, saying they fear it "results in them losing support."

"The 4th of July parade is uberpatriotism, and that is showing Dracula the cross."

In Kensington, Helm an unexpected BYOB delight : Craig LaBan, Inquirer Restaurant Critic

from Doofiegirl on 06/23/2015 08:31 PM

There has been plenty of chatter, lately, that Philadelphia's unique love and talent for BYOBs is starting to wane.

And there's no doubt some of our best - Bibou, Laurel, Talula's Table, Lolita, the Farm & Fisherman, Noord, and Kanella, to name a few - could go only so long in their successful life cycle before they needed to grow by adding a sibling restaurant, a tasting menu, a liquor license, or some combination of them all.

But just when you think the craft-beer pub or wood-fired pizzeria has become the new neighborhood restaurant concept of choice, along comes an unexpected delight like Helm.

It may be tucked between a vacant, weed-grown lot and a rusted-out former factory on the southern fringe of Kensington, but with every gorgeous plate of house-pulled burrata stuffed with charred ramps and mustard greens, every coffee-crusted leg of lamb dressed with urban-farmed turnips, and every giant monkfish tail for two emerging from the kitchen into this pleasant, airy little dining room, we are reminded of a beautiful Philadelphia truth.

Helm proves once again that genuine talent can overcome a lack of big-money backing to find an audience here, unlike other East Coast cities, where rents and liquor licenses boost the point of entry. When the chefs behind the stove are cooking with the fluid seasonality and contemporary ease of co-chefs and owners Kevin D'Egidio and Mike Griffiths, the 34-seat horsepower of a simple BYO - and a willingness to be a neighborhood pioneer - is all that's needed to focus on the food and shine.

And here's the evidence: $10,000.

That's the grand sum D'Egidio and Griffiths had in savings between them when the two decided to dive into this project, after years of honing their skills in top kitchens such as Fork, Lacroix at the Rittenhouse, Stateside, Will BYOB, Rittenhouse Tavern, and Tangerine.

"It was not a sensible idea," concedes D'Egidio.

The gift of life for Father's Day : Susan Snyder, Inquirer Staff Writer

from Doofiegirl on 06/23/2015 08:28 PM

On Father's Day, Adam Nicely got a homemade card, a tiny stuffed animal, and the gift of life.

Nicely had just finished opening a present and card from his two young children, 6 and 4, Sunday morning at his Collingswood home. "Peek-a-boo, I love you," said the little fuzzy critter that popped out of a film canister his son, Wilder, had made for him.

It was shortly before 8, and Nicely decided to go back to the church where his band had practiced the night before, to make sure everything was tidy for Sunday services. The church, Circle of Hope in Pennsauken, was only about 10 minutes away. His wife, Kate, was baking him a shoofly cake, one of his favorites.

He was on South Park Drive in Collingswood, around the 300 block, and he remembers seeing a bright light, and then nothing else.

He doesn't remember his gray micro van barreling down a grassy stretch and plunging into the Cooper River. He doesn't remember water rushing up around him. He doesn't remember his head going under.

And he doesn't remember the dramatic rescue that followed.

Had it not been for a South Park Drive resident who saw Nicely's van go into the murky water and called 911, a trio of women walking nearby who jumped in to help, and the quick response of police and fire rescuers who pulled Nicely unconscious from the sinking car, he likely would have died.

"These are true superheroes, they are," Nicely's mother, Pat, said from her son's hospital room at Cooper University Hospital on Monday. "We thought this was the worst Father's Day possible, and it ended up being the best Father's Day."

Major heat wave in southern Pakistan kills over 600 people : ADIL JAWAD and ASIF SHAHZAD,

from Doofiegirl on 06/23/2015 08:24 PM

KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) - A scorching heat wave across Pakistan's southern Sindh province has killed at least 622 people, authorities said Tuesday, as morgues overflowed with the dead and overwhelmed hospitals struggled to aid those clinging to life.

Most of the deaths were reported in Karachi, the country's largest city and its commercial hub. The port city on the Arabian Sea had at least 600 fatalities.

Temperatures reaching 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit) first struck over the weekend in Karachi, with mercury rising in the rest of Sindh province. Hours-long power outages, typical in Pakistan, left fans and air conditioners inoperable.

The heat wave compounded the struggles of ordinary Pakistanis as it struck amid the holy, fasting month of Ramadan, when observant Muslims abstain from food or water during daylight hours.

"We have confirmed data that 622 people died of the heat wave across the whole of province," said Saeed Mangnejo, the top administrative health official in Sindh.

"But the worst hit is Karachi, where over 600 people died of heat stroke, 19 died in other parts of the province," he said, adding that he expects the number of fatalities to climb even further.

The Karachi toll was a significant jump since earlier in the day, the city's director of health Zafar Ejaz said at least 436 people have been killed by the heat wave.

"Many people have been taken to private hospitals where they have died ... we are collecting that data," Mangnejo said.

The power outages also affected the sporadic water supply in Karachi, where those who can afford it rely on tankers of water being delivered to their homes.

Most of the dead are the elderly, said Seemi Jamali, a spokeswoman for Karachi's Jinnah Hospital. Thousands more are being treated for heat-related ailments, including fever and dehydration and stomach-related illnesses, she said. Mortuaries were running out of space, with local television stations showing bodies stacked inside of cold storage rooms of morgues.

Richard Vincent "Dick" Van Patten (December 9, 1928 – June 23, 2015) was an American actor, businessman, and animal welfare advocate,

from Doofiegirl on 06/23/2015 08:10 PM

He began work as a child actor and was successful on the New York stage, appearing in more than a dozen plays as a teenager.[1] He later starred in numerous television roles including the long running CBS television series, I Remember Mama and Young Dr. Malone.
