The Daily Rant Statement on Charleston Church Shooting

For immediate release

The Daily Rant (TDR) would like to express our most sincere condolences to the surviving family members, friends, loved ones and the community of Charleston, S.C. – as they mourn and struggle to make sense of the heinous murders that took place early this morning at Emmanuel AME Church.

We offer prayers to God for the sense of pain and loss being experienced.

That said, TDR demonstrably condemns the race mongers specifically Obama, Al Sharpton, the mainstream media and all others who would seek to foment racial acrimony in the aftermath of this horrific and unconscionable act of violence.

To portray this as defining of greater condemnation than the mass shootings at Columbine, Colorado, Connecticut, Arizona, Pennsylvania, ad nauseum is to unambiguously disregard the lives of white children and adults who died at the hands of equally evil, deranged young men.

There are no words to describe the shock and pain that the Charleston community is experiencing at this moment. Nor are there words that can address the reawakened feelings of dread and loss experienced by the families, loved ones and communities of those who live in states where similar mass shootings have taken place.

Please join TDR in calling upon Obama, politicians, the media, and those well-known race mongers to show respect to the community of Charleston and to example the propriety that should be consistent with the positions they hold to behave with respect and not the baneful self-serving racial acrimony that has become synonymous with them and their kind.

"She's great, she's talented, she's a friend of mine," Trump said, when asked about his past musings about teaming up with Winfrey for a presidential ticket. "She's a good person. Michelle Obama Just Marched Into An Islamist Hotbed And Had A Strange Choice Of Words : :Randy DeSoto

First Lady Michelle Obama, while speaking at an all-girls school in Great Britain on Tuesday, said that men are "useful" in promoting the education of girls.

While participating in a discussion at the Mulberry School for Girls on London's East Side, Obama said: "There are 60 million girls all around the world, just like the girls here [at Mulberry] but they're not getting an education."                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 The First Lady used the opportunity to promote her Let Girls Learn initiative. The aim of the $200 million program, funded by the United States and the United Kingdom, is to promote girls' education worldwide. The first projects will help 450,000 children in the Democratic Republic of Congo get a primary school education. The Mulberry School is dominated ethnically by Bangladeshi students, along with other minorities. Tower Hamlets, where the school is located, is one of the more economically depressed parts of the city of London. It is made up of Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani, and otherwise Asian populations. It was about a week ago when the president — in a move sharply criticized by many analysts as inappropriately aggressive — told a news conference in Germany: "This should be an easy case. Former Israeli ambassador Michael Oren believes the current low point in relations between the U.S. and Israel is mostly of Barack Obama's making.

Texas Takes Huge Step To Secure Border (Since Obama Won’t) : Norvell Rose

More than 100,000 active gang members are a dangerous plague on the people of Texas — many of those gang members associated with cross-border crimes such as human smuggling and illegal drug trafficking. So says the get-tough governor of the Lone Star State, Greg Abbott, according to a report on Breitbart News. That's one of the reasons Abbott just signed what the Breitbart article describes as "the toughest and most comprehensive border security plan of any state in the United States of America."

That extraordinary expenditure will give Texas law enforcement a number of new personnel, plus high-tech tools to combat the violent drug cartels and illegal border crossings. Already in the big Texas tool box are six high-speed gunboats with weapons that can fire 900 rounds per minute.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        On Texas' shopping list is a second $7.5 million high-altitude plane to scan the border, a new border crime data center, a 5,000-acre training facility for border law-enforcement agencies and grants for year-round helicopter flights. The state also wants to hire two dozen Texas Rangers to investigate public corruption along the border and 250 new state troopers as a down payment on a permanent force along the border.
                                                                                                                                                                             Instances of criminal activity associated with illegal immigrants have become so prevalent in Texas that the state legislature has sent the governor a number of measures to give residents greater rights in arming and defending themselves. As KXAN-TV noted in a recent report, Gov. Abbott made the expansion of gun rights a top priority of his first legislative session as the state's chief executive:

Pope Francis urges revolution to save earth, fix 'perverse' economy : By Associated Press

"The Pope is to Catholicism what Obama is to Capitalism, destructive." [ Comment made by one reader  ]                                   VATICAN CITY (AP) -- Pope Francis called Thursday for a bold cultural revolution to correct what he calls the "structurally perverse" economic system of the rich exploiting the poor that is turning Earth into an "immense pile of filth."
In a sweeping manifesto aimed at spurring action in U.N. climate negotiations, domestic politics and everyday life, Francis explains the science of global warming, which he blames on an unfair, fossil fuel-based industrial model that he says harms the poor most. Citing Scripture and past popes' and bishops' appeals, he urges people of all faiths and no faith to undergo an awakening to save God's creation for future generations.

It's an indictment of big business and climate doubters alike.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        "It is not enough to balance, in the medium term, the protection of nature with financial gain, or the preservation of the environment with progress," he writes. "Halfway measures simply delay the inevitable disaster. Put simply, it is a matter of redefining our notion of progress."

Environmental scientists said the first ever encyclical, or teaching document, on the environment could have a dramatic effect on the climate debate, lending the moral authority of the immensely popular Francis to an issue that has long been cast in purely political, economic and scientific terms.

Veerabhadran Ramanathan, a Scripps Institution of Oceanography scientist, said the encyclical would be a "game-changer in making people think about this."

"It's not politics anymore," he said, adding that science is usually difficult for people to understand but that people respond to arguments framed by morality and ethics.

The energy lobby was quick to criticize the encyclical and its anti-fossil fuel message.

"The simple reality is that energy is the essential building block of the modern world," said Thomas Pyle of the Institute of Energy Research, a conservative free-market group. Brian Williams forfeits anchor post, will stay on at NBC : By Boston Herald

Embattled newsman Brian Williams will return to NBC, but not to the coveted anchor chair.
Williams, whose career hit a road block when a soldier called him out on tall tales of taking enemy fire, will reportedly have more of a role at MSNBC when he returns from a six-month suspension, according to news reports.

The network is planning to announce Williams' new job today. In addition, several news reports said current fill-in host Lester Holt will take over the anchor job permanently.

Holt has helmed the Nightly News" since the suspension began and has kept the program slightly ahead in a ratings competition with ABC's "World News Tonight" that Williams had dominated.

NBC suspended Williams for six months on Feb. 10 after he admitted to falsely claiming he had been in a helicopter hit by enemy fire during the Iraq war, when in fact his helicopter had not been hit.

The network subsequently ordered an internal investigation into other instances where Williams allegedly embellished his experiences, most often in talk show appearances. The company has not said whether it will make its findings public.

In April, former NBC News President Andy Lack was brought back to oversee the news division, with executive Pat Fili-Krushel dismissed, adding a new voice into deliberations over a decision that will likely be made by top executives at NBC's corporate parent Comcast Corp.

The Emperor is Still Naked by Roseann Salanitri

Politically correct propaganda has invaded our collective conscious with terms that somehow make what was once thought of as abnormal now seem normal. Along with this new jargon comes a new rationale that is irrational to many who persist in living in the real world. Unfortunately, often the realists have remained silent – indifferent to or intimidated by the name-calling of those claiming to be tolerant. And so the topsy-turvy world that once was America has now become a land where free speech is only afforded to those with loud voices who have a national platform and embrace liberal ideologies. They prey upon our compassions and elevate them to a fault, obscuring reality in the process. This new ideology also embraces an "I think, therefore I am" philosophy of life that Walter Mitty exemplifies. Perhaps it is high time a new term is coined. If reality is reality – it can be argued that not dealing in reality is not sane. Therefore, the term "trans-sanity" should be applied to those who believe they are something they are not.

The two most recent evangelists for trans-sanity are CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield and Rachel Dolezal, head of the local chapter of the NAACP in Spokane, Washington.

As for Ms. Dolezal, who is a white woman trying to pass herself off as black, her leadership in the NAACP would – at best – seem an anomaly in a sane world. However, today the greater anomaly may be that she is newsworthy at all. While Ms. Dolezal represents a segment of the population that is hard to understand, pundits who paint odd behavior with a normal brush have been quick to seize upon the opportunity to coin a new term. To them, Ms. Dolezal is not an oddity, she is trans-black. Translation: her physical realities do not prevent her from being what she thinks she is in her heart. Therefore, this white woman who embraces the black community can now claim to be black – regardless of her heritage or genetic makeup.
Although CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield may not aspire to be trans-anything, she is just as delusional as Ms. Dolezal. In Ms. Whitfield's world, the deranged assassin who attacked the Dallas police station is "courageous and brave." The real problem is not that the likes of Ms. Whitefield exist, the real problem is that the likes of Ms. Whitfield are given a microphone and a national platform. And so, Ms. Whitfield has earned her standing in the Trans-sanity Hall of Fame where all things are possible regardless of reality.

To be sure, the world of trans-sanity has a booming population and includes many political and celebrity citizens, such as Elizabeth Warren, who is trans-Indian; Hillary Clinton, who is trans-poor; Barack Obama, who is trans-deprived regardless of the fact that he rose to become president; and dare I mention "Mr." Jenner, who has become a role model for the gender confused? While we may feel sympathetic about Mr. Jenner's confused identity, wouldn't it be more commendable to find him the help he needs to resolve his confusion? After all, doesn't true compassion and true love require dealing with the truth even when it hurts?
One of the more noteworthy anomalies earning honorable mention in the Trans-Sanity Hall of Fame where the irrational parade themselves as civic-minded servants of righteousness is none other than the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, known as the NAACP. This organization was formed in 1909 for ethnic minorities with good reason but over the years has corrupted their mission and vision. Their mission states:

The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to
ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons
and to eliminate race-based discrimination.

And their vision statement declares:

The vision of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race.

Really? "To ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons..."and "to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race?" Are we to believe that the NAACP of 2015 is concerned about the rights of people of all colors, which would include whites? If that were true, Ms. Dolezal's position in their organization would not be threatened. The shocking fact that Ms. Dolezal is white and not black as she represented, has become a problem for this non-discriminatory protector of all people – not her lying or her Walter Mitty inclinations. Additionally, if the NAACP is truly adverse to discrimination based on race, why aren't they objecting to the Black Caucus in congress, or the Black Miss America beauty pageant, or the many "black only" organizations and/or contests readily found on the internet? While the NAACP fulfilled a legitimate need when it was first organized, it has now become indulgent in the race discrimination it was founded to combat. And since they truly believe themselves to be warriors of race discrimination, they also have earned honorable mention in the Trans-Sanity Hall of Fame.

Today we're living in the days of the Emperor's New Clothes on steroids. If the emperor is naked; he is naked and no conciliatory rhetoric or modern jargon can change that. But where is the child willing to speak the truth? Where are the masses who understand that the insane can only rule the world if the sane abdicate? The Bible tells us that we are to be watchmen on a wall – that when we see evil advancing, we are to sound the alarm and warn the people. If we do not and the people suffer at the hands of the enemy; their blood will be on the watchman's hands. However, in 2015 the only blood that will be found on the watchman is his own resulting from the assaults he received from his own people.

When we allow the media to set the narrative and deny that Islamic Extremists are Muslims, or that ISIS is not Islamic, or that all police are racists and deserve to be assaulted, we allow the corruption of sanity to escalate. In this world, those who believe in a standard of right and wrong, or refuse to call anything but a spade a "spade", are called intolerant or heartless. In this world, we have converted the horror or Aldous Huxley's Brave New World into the left's touchy-feely Trans-sanity World, where the white rabbit lives on and Walter Mitty rules.
