Robert Gibbs Named Global Chief Communications Officer - at McDonald's. Mark Tapson

President Obama's former press secretary and senior campaign advisor, Gibbs had gone on to co-found The Incite Agency, a strategic communications advisory firm. Now he will lead McDonald's corporate relations group, which manages internal and external communications and government and public affairs. U.S. Senate seeks passage of 'Hillary law' to prevent State Department scandals : Jim Kouri

In the aftermath of the Benghazi scandal, the report of then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's Internet server and private email account, and a number of other "irregularities," several U.S. Senate lawmakers have proposed new legislation to bring President Barack Obama's "scandal-ridden State Department" under greater scrutiny. The senators believe there must be more congressional oversight to make certain that politicized upper-echelon State Department members are prevented from hiding wrongdoing, according to a copy of the new legislation released on Monday. Sens. Tim Kaine, D-Virginia, and David Perdue, R-Georgia, introduced a bill that if passed will force the State Department to increase what was promised by President Barack Obama in 2009: transparency. Also the new law would give oversight authorities more assistance in probing alleged malfeasance -- or out-and-out criminal activity -- by State Department employees.

The bill, called "Improving Department of State Oversight Act," is a result of a number of allegations regarding the agency's inability to police itself. During Secretary Clinton's tenure, for example, the powerful and sensitive department didn't even have a confirmed inspector general for two years. Breitbart exclusively obtained the letter Hunter wrote McCarthy. In it, Hunter asks McCarthy to "slow down and consider the ramifications of what it is doing."
In the letter to McCarthy, Hunter wrote, "I write to you today to request that you delay any vote on fast-track authority for the Executive until the President has made public all text and information pertaining to the new economic union known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership Commission, as well as the 'Living Agreement' authority. HOW THE INTERNET STARTED

Abraham's cousin, Joshua, being the young Gregarious Energetic Educated Kid
(GEEK) that he was, soon started using Dot's drums to locate things around
the countryside.

BREAKING - UPDATE: All Clear; White House Briefing Room Evacuated After Threat Katie Pavlich

UPDATE III: Reporters were not amused to find their cameras down turned during the evacuation. Strangely, the Secret Service felt it was necessary to evacuate the press, but not press secretary or the President, whose offices sit right near the briefing room. When the briefing resumed after given the all clear, Press Secretary Josh Earnest said President Obama was not moved.          UPDATE II: Good news, all clear. Keep in mind, this was a credible threat.                                                                         The daily White House press briefing was abruptly halted by Secret Service this afternoon at approximately 2:10 pm et after a threat was called in. Officers are currently clearing the room and reporters have been moved outside. A bomb sniffing dog was brought into the room to check for explosives.

Former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino tells Fox News that for an evacuation like this to occur during business hours indicates the situation is serious and from a verified source. Fox News White House Correspondent Ed Henry added that although the White House often has suspicious package threats, evacuations of the press room are unprecedented.

"It is extremely rare for them to evacuate the West Wing of the White House especially in the middle of a press briefing," Henry said.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Earlier today, a Senate hearing was ended and evacuated after a bomb threat and suspicious package were found. That was given the all clear. 'Goonies,' 'Lethal Weapon' Actress Mary Ellen Trainor Dead at 62 by REUTERS

Actress and philanthropist Mary Ellen Trainor, who appeared in every "Lethal Weapon" film and played the mother in "Goonies," has died. She was 62.

The San Francisco-born Trainor moved in 1980 to Los Angeles, where she married director Robert Zemeckis. She started a career in television and film, beginning with the role of Elaine in "Romancing the Stone" and Mrs. Walsh in "The Goonies."

She also appeared in all four "Lethal Weapon" movies, "Die Hard," "Scrooged," "Ghostbusters II," "Back to the Future Part II," "Forrest Gump," the 2003 "Freaky Friday" and racked up scores of television appearances, including leading roles in "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" and "Relativity."

Trainor and Zemeckis divorced in 2000. She supported dozens of causes, from education and disaster relief to cancer research and safe water for developing countries.

"Congress shall make no law...prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech." That's the U.S. Constitution explicitly stating a citizen's right to free speech in its First Amendment. Unfortunately, the state of Montana is apparently unaware of this and is seeking to prosecute a Flathead County man for the crime of hate speech. Last week, the popular Washington Post legal blogger and UCLA law professor Eugene Volokh reported about the disturbing Montana case and explained the state's rationale for prosecuting 28-year-old David Lenio, a man charged with defaming Jewish people. According to Volokh, Montana's defamation laws are broader than most states' statutes when it comes to the issue of malicious speech. A bloodied, emotional Ronald Moon Jr. addressed his attackers, his community and his nation in a video recently uploaded to LiveLeak. He explained that he has been in the same Cincinnati neighborhood for the majority of his life, noting he has been working on turning his own home into a community center.

Despite the fact that it has been burglarized several times, Moon said he has nonetheless been "putting in hours and hour and hours" of work to restore the residence.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         "And today I came across the people that have been breaking in there," he said. A Syrian Group Just Hacked The U.S. Army Website And Left This Mysterious Message : Randy DeSoto

A group affiliated with the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad took responsibility Monday for hacking the U.S. Army's public website and forcing it offline.  The group has breached other military and media websites in the past.                                                                                                                                                                                                                           The Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) sent multiple tweets out Monday with screenshots from images it posted to the Army.mil website. 

One popup message on Army.mil read: "Your commanders admit they are training the people they have sent you to die fighting."

The message references a training program, which Western Journalism reported about last week, for moderate fighters who pledge to back ISIS, many of whom also oppose the Assad regime. "Today an element of the Army.mil service provider's content was compromised," explained Army Brig. Gen. Malcolm B.Frost. The SEA began tweeting images from the hacked website at 1pm; and at approximately 3pm, the Army took the website down.

SEA has claimed responsibility in the past for breaching military sites and others including the U.S. Army Central Command's Twitter account last year, as well as the Washington Post's mobile site earlier this year.
