Americans say they'd rather live in neighborhoods with guns: Jim Kouri

An overwhelming majority of American voters say they would rather live in a neighborhood where residents have the option of owning a gun than to live where nobody is allowed to be armed, a gun rights expert and advisor to police organizations said on Friday. He based his statement on a just-released national survey of likely U.S. voters.  http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/gun_control/americans_prefer_living_in_neighborhoods_with_guns

John Snyder, a former editor for the National Rifle Association (NRA) points to a Rasmussen national poll released on Friday reveals that mere 22 percent of likely voters say they would feel safer if they live in a community in which no one is allowed to own a gun. But whopping 68 percent of respondents say they would feel safer in a neighborhood where gun ownership by residents is allowed. Only 10 percent of those surveys said they are not sure. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/about_us/methodology

The national survey was conducted on June 8-9, 2015 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. The fieldwork for all Rasmussen surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. http://www.pulseopinionresearch.com/

According to Snyder, who serves on the advisory boards of the National Association of Chiefs of Police and the American Federation of Police, the poll is more proof that gun-control activists and politicians such as President Barack Obama are outside of the mainstream with regard to support for the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment. "Americans would rather live with guns than without them," Snyder noted. "A national Rasmussen poll of likely voters shows this to be true by a three-to-one margin," he told the Law Enforcement Examiner.  https://gunpolicies.wordpress.com/                                                http://www.examiner.com/article/americans-say-they-d-rather-live-neighborhoods-with-guns-poll

I know would rather live in a neighborhood that you can arm yourself for protection. Actually I know I live in a town where most everyone will protect themselves in a blink of an eye.
