Donald Trump may want Oprah Winfrey as his own celebrity apprentice for his White House bid.

The billionaire real estate mogul admitted in an interview taped Tuesday that he would consider asking the former talk show host and media magnate to add her name to his campaign ticket as his vice president.

"I think Oprah would be great," Trump told ABC in an interview slated to air on "Good Morning America." "I'd love to have Oprah. I think we'd win easily, actually."

"She's great, she's talented, she's a friend of mine," Trump said, when asked about his past musings about teaming up with Winfrey for a presidential ticket. "She's a good person. Doofie, this is one time I have to disagree with post.

I have a very dear frined of mine who is a retired police chief. We are so close that we seem to know what each other is going to do before we do it.

He retired 6 weeks befor 9/11/2001, and fact being we were to have a birthday party at his house, mainly because ofhis pool, the day the towers fell. Some birthday I had that day. Needless to say the party was cancelled. We each tried to do our patriotic duty in retaliation for what Osma did that day. Bush make it quite clear that OBL was responsible for this...and as a sidebar ever notice the closeness of the names OSama and OBama?

He and his wife decided to travel to New York to help with the rescue and later to Iraq to teach the Iraqi how to be police officers. After all he did teach classes at the Police in Toledo three times a week. About a week later Denny was on his way to Iraq by invitation of the Iraqi government to train some of their men to be police officers.

I decided, with the permission of my wife to take my discharge down to the Marine recruiters office to show I was an Officer in the Army and that I wanted to do my part. Well, it is quite evident that I did not get my chance to put a cap in Osamas ass but what made me damned proud and American was the recuriter handed back my discharge, I though I was in the military again, and stood ordered the other recruiters in the office to stand and all saluted me with the recuriter telling me I had did my duty to my country already in VietNam. Doofie, I was so damned proud that day that I would not help but salute them back and thanked them all for THEIR service to my country.

I went home and cried like a baby.

That's why when Obama opens his pie hole I know that nothing but bullschitt is going to come out.

First Lady Michelle Obama, while speaking at an all-girls school in Great Britain on Tuesday, said that men are "useful" in promoting the education of girls.

While participating in a discussion at the Mulberry School for Girls on London's East Side, Obama said: "There are 60 million girls all around the world, just like the girls here [at Mulberry] but they're not getting an education."                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 The First Lady used the opportunity to promote her Let Girls Learn initiative. The aim of the $200 million program, funded by the United States and the United Kingdom, is to promote girls' education worldwide. The first projects will help 450,000 children in the Democratic Republic of Congo get a primary school education. The Mulberry School is dominated ethnically by Bangladeshi students, along with other minorities. Texas Takes Huge Step To Secure Border (Since Obama Won’t) : Norvell Rose

More than 100,000 active gang members are a dangerous plague on the people of Texas — many of those gang members associated with cross-border crimes such as human smuggling and illegal drug trafficking. So says the get-tough governor of the Lone Star State, Greg Abbott, according to a report on Breitbart News. That's one of the reasons Abbott just signed what the Breitbart article describes as "the toughest and most comprehensive border security plan of any state in the United States of America."

Pope Francis urges revolution to save earth, fix 'perverse' economy : By Associated Press

"The Pope is to Catholicism what Obama is to Capitalism, destructive." [ Comment made by one reader  ]                                   VATICAN CITY (AP) -- Pope Francis called Thursday for a bold cultural revolution to correct what he calls the "structurally perverse" economic system of the rich exploiting the poor that is turning Earth into an "immense pile of filth."
In a sweeping manifesto aimed at spurring action in U.N. climate negotiations, domestic politics and everyday life, Francis explains the science of global warming, which he blames on an unfair, fossil fuel-based industrial model that he says harms the poor most. Citing Scripture and past popes' and bishops' appeals, he urges people of all faiths and no faith to undergo an awakening to save God's creation for future generations.

It's an indictment of big business and climate doubters alike.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        "It is not enough to balance, in the medium term, the protection of nature with financial gain, or the preservation of the environment with progress," he writes. "Halfway measures simply delay the inevitable disaster. Put simply, it is a matter of redefining our notion of progress."

Environmental scientists said the first ever encyclical, or teaching document, on the environment could have a dramatic effect on the climate debate, lending the moral authority of the immensely popular Francis to an issue that has long been cast in purely political, economic and scientific terms.

Veerabhadran Ramanathan, a Scripps Institution of Oceanography scientist, said the encyclical would be a "game-changer in making people think about this."

"It's not politics anymore," he said, adding that science is usually difficult for people to understand but that people respond to arguments framed by morality and ethics.

The energy lobby was quick to criticize the encyclical and its anti-fossil fuel message.

"The simple reality is that energy is the essential building block of the modern world," said Thomas Pyle of the Institute of Energy Research, a conservative free-market group.
